Level 1 Pistol Course

Course Description

This course provides basic through intermediate pistol employment training in a systematic manner that is available for shooters of all experience levels. This includes the basic fundamentals of pistol safety, employment, and live-fire training with Outside the Waistband holsters on paper and steel targets ranging from 3-25 yards.

• Disassembly / Reassembly and Cleaning Procedures
• Gear Overview and Setup
• Fundamentals of Pistol Marksmanship
• Pistol Employment from Outside the Waistband Holsters
• Red Dot Zeroing and Employment
• Malfunction Remedies
• Technical and Speed Reloads
• Alternate Position Engagements
• Engaging Targets While Using Cover or Concealment
• Multiple Target Engagements

Required Equipment

• Pistol with Outside the Waistband Holster
• Inside Waistband Holster is not required for this course but may be used if proficiency is demonstrated.
• 200 rounds of ammunition (minimum) 
• Magazines (3 minimum) with Mag Pouches
• Shooters Belt / Waist belt
• Eye and Hearing Protection
• Water Source
• Appropriate clothing (pants and closed toe shoes/boots)
