Level 1 Long Range/ Precision Course

Course Description:

This course concentrates on the fundamentals of long-range precision marksmanship and provides extensive information on all required equipment. Hand selected instructors use modern instruction and coaching techniques that enable our students to successfully engage targets out to 1000 yards with confidence.

This course serves as the foundation for all other Long Range Precision Rifle Courses offered by Train Confident. After completing this course, students should sign up for our Level 2 Precision Rifle Course.

• Rifle, Optic, and Special Equipment Overview and Selection Criteria
• Rifle and Optic Set up (How to build your rifle system for your body, correctly) 
• Fundamentals of Precision Marksmanship
• Zeroing Processes and Techniques
• Making Sense of Mils / MOA
• Ballistics 
• Wind Reading
• Atmospheric effects (Density Altitude, Temp, Humidity, Station Pressure)
• Range Estimation / Unknown Distance Engagements
• DOPE / Elevation chart construction
• Dialing and Holding for Elevation and Wind
• Cleaning Techniques / Cold Bore Theory

Required Equipment

• Rifle capable of holding 1.5 MOA (1.5 inch group) or smaller at 100 yards
• Optic with modern ranging reticle
• 200 rounds of match grade ammunition (minimum)
